JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATOR
A dynamic well established construction company has an exciting new opportunity for the right candidate. We are a commercial and residential general contractor located in Miami Gardens, Florida, seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to join our team.
In this role, you will provide administrative support to the construction department. You will be assisting the Project Manager in performing daily clerical functions such as document scanning, processing invoices, and software administrator duties. In addition to common job requirements such as sorting mail, answering phone calls, taking messages and following up with sub-contractors. The construction administrator will organize meetings, manage records and monitor expenses. Traditional office duties include filing, copying and ordering/reordering supplies, are also performed. Position requires independent judgment and keen decision-making skills.
In addition, the construction office administrator will help to ensure that project contracts and bids are complete and filed on time. The administrator may also be responsible for coordinating activities, such as job site meetings.
Candidate must possess a high attention to detail, strong organization and communications skills, and work well within a team environment. Candidate must also be able to work autonomously, effectively manage ongoing deadlines, and switch between tasks as they arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Project Manager with general construction administration tasks
• Process and scan documents
• Execute data entry using Foundation and Procore
• Filing documents (paper and electronic filing)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 3 years of administrative or construction-related experience a plus
• Detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, can manage competing priorities
• High School degree required
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Foundation and Procore
• Bilingual desired (English/Spanish)
• Notary license desired
ASSISTANT ESTIMATOR

General Purpose of the Position:
The Assistant Project Estimator is responsible for supporting the Chief Estimator and Senior Estimator in the development of an accurate and reliable estimate of costs for each construction project. They work closely with subcontractors and other external customers, as well as internal personnel such as project managers and project superintendents. The individual reports directly to the Chief Estimator.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Compile estimates.
• Review and evaluate vendor quotes.
• Analyze drawings and specifications.
• Understand contractual terms and conditions.
• Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals.
• Provide clear detailed quantity take-offs.
• Organize sub-contractors’ quotations, negotiate to insure quotes meet contract
• Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients.
• Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing.
• Formulate cost break down from estimates.
• Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services.
Requirements:
• 3-5 yrs. experience
• Bachelor’s degree in construction
• Bilingual English/Spanish
